Cleaning Up the Horizon Cloud Environment

Objective and Tasks

Use the Horizon Cloud and Workspace ONE Access monitoring sections:

  1. Remove the Horizon Cloud Service Node
  2. Delete All the Resources Created in Workspace ONE Access
  3. Delete All the Resources Created in Azure
Task 1: Remove the Horizon Cloud Service Node

You delete all the resources running on the edge.

  1. Go to https://connect.omnissa.com in a web browser.
  2. Log in to the Omnissa Cloud Services console.
    • User name: horizonseals<student_number>
    • Password: Omnissa1!Omnissa1!
  3. Under Horizon Cloud, click LAUNCH.
  4. In the navigation pane on the left, select Resources > Pool Groups.
  5. Select the check box next to each pool group and click Delete.
  6. Click Delete in the Delete pop-up window.
  7. Repeat this action until all the pool groups have been removed.
  8. In the navigation pane on the left, select Desktop & app catalog.
  9. Click the App Volumes tab.
  10. Select the Adobe Acrobat check box and select Unentitle from the ENTITLEMENTS drop-down menu.
  11. Select the user and click UNENTITLE.
  12. Select the Adobe Acrobat check box and click DELETE.
  13. Click Delete in the Delete pop-up window.
  14. In the navigation pane on the left, select Resources > Pools.
  15. On the Pools page, select all the check boxes and click DELETE.
  16. Click DELETE in the Delete Pools pop-up window.
    • Do not proceed to the next step until all the pools are deleted. This process might take up to 5 to 10 minutes. You can refresh the page using the refresh arrow.
  17. In the navigation pane on the left, select Resources > Images.
  18. For each image, click the name and click the version.
  19. Scroll down to see if any system pools exist.
  20. If any system pools exist, delete them first and then delete the version.
  21. In the navigation pane on the left, select Resources > Capacity.
  22. Select your edge and then select Unified Access Gateway from the DELETE drop-down menu.
  23. Click DELETE in the UAG Delete pop-up window.
    • This process takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Do not continue to the next step until the process is completed.
  24. Select your edge and then select Horizon Edge Gateway from the DELETE drop-down menu.
  25. Click DELETE in the Edge Delete pop-up window.
    • This process takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Do not continue to the next step until the process is completed.
  26. In the navigation pane on the left, select Capacity and then click the Providers tab.
  27. Select your provider and click DELETE.
  28. Click the Sites tab and select Default and click DELETE.
  29. In the navigation pane on the left, select Integrations > Identity & Access > MANAGE.
  30. Click the SSO Configurations tab.
  31. Click the ellipsis icon next to the SSO configuration and select Delete.
  32. Click DELETE in the Delete pop-up window.
  33. On the Domains tab, select techseals.co and click DELETE.
  34. On the Identity Provider page, click DISCONNECT.
  35. In the navigation pane on the left, select Settings.
  36. Under Omnissa Dynamic Environment Manager, click MANAGE and delete DEM-techseals.
  37. Click the notifications (bell) icon and click CLEAR.
  38. Ensure that Dark Mode is set to off.
Task 2: Delete All the Resources Created in Workspace ONE Access

You delete all the resources running in Workspace ONE Access.

  1. Go to https://connect.omnissa.com in a web browser and log in.
    • User name: horizonseals<student_number>
    • Password: Omnissa1!Omnissa1!
  2. Under Access, click LAUNCH.
  3. Click the Integrations tab and select Directories in the left navigation pane.
  4. Click techseals.co Directory Name.
  5. Click DELETE
  6. In the navigation pane on the left, select Connectors.
  7. Select WS1-CC-<student_number>.techseals.co and click MANAGE.
  8. Click DELETE for each service.
  9. Click the Settings tab and select User Attributes in the left navigation pane.
  10. Under Custom Attributes, remove the four attributes which your have added.
Task 3: Delete All the Resources Created in Azure

You delete all the resources running on Microsoft Azure.

  1. Go to the Azure portal and log in again if necessary.
    • User name: <company>.<full_name>.<student_number>
    • Password: Omnissa1!Omnissa1!
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, select Virtual machines.
  3. Select WS1-CC-<student_number> and click Delete.
  4. In the Delete pop-up window, select the Apply force delete for selected Virtual machines check box.
  5. Enter Yes in the Confirm delete text box.
  6. Click Delete.
  7. In the navigation pane on the left, select Load Balancers and then click <geo>hcsmadm>UAG-LB-<student_number>.
  8. Under Settings, click Backend pools.
  9. Expand the back-end pool and click the Delete icon.
  10. On the Delete pop-up window, select the I have read and understood that this backend pool check box and click Delete.
  11. In the navigation pane on the left, select Virtual networks and click your Azure Virtual Network (VNet).
  12. Navigate to the Peerings page.
  13. Select your peering, click the ellipsis icon, and select Delete.
  14. In the Delete virtual network peering pop-up window, click Yes.
  15. Click Overview and then click the Delete icon.
  16. In the Delete virtual network pop-up window, click Yes.
