Lab 5: Configuring Hub Services
Objective and Tasks
Enable and configure Hub Services in the Workspace ONE UEM console:
- Configure Hub Services
- Configure a Hub Services Setting
Task 1: Configure Hub Services
You configure Hub Services working with your Omnissa UEM tenant and your Omnissa Access tenant.
- Open the Workspace ONE UEM administration console.
- On the ControlCenter Windows taskbar, click the Google Chrome icon.
- From the bookmarks bar, select Workspace ONE UEM. You can also enter https://techseals.awmdm.com/AirWatch in the address bar to access the console page.
- Log in to Workspace ONE UEM.
- Username: studentadmin{labid}
- Password: Pa$$w0rd
- On the Workspace ONE UEM console menu bar, verify that Student{labid} organization group is selected from the Organization Group drop-down menu.
- Leave the Omnissa UEM admin console open.
- In a new tab of the browser go to the Omnissa Access Admin console.
- https://{labid}.vidmpreview.com (You obtained this information in Lab 1- Task 4- Step 6)
- Sign in with the credentials:
- Username: admin
- Password: Pa$$w0rd
- In the Omnissa Access Admin console go to the Settings tab
- On the left pane, click OAuth 2.0 Management
- In the right pane, click the UEM tab
- Click GENERATE CLIENT
- Client ID = studentadmin
- UEM Server URL = https://techseals.awmdm.com
- Click Generate Client
- Copy the Shared Secret into notepad.
- Navigate back to the browser tab where the UEM Admin console is open.
- In the navigation pane on the left, select Groups & Settings > Configurations.
- Click Go to Configurations.
- Enter Intelligent Hub in the Configurations search box.
- Select Intelligent Hub from the search results.
- Click the Intelligent Hub hyperlink. The Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub configuration page opens.
- Click Get Started. The Activate Hub Services dialog box appears.
- Enter your Omnissa Access tenant details.
- Tenant URL: https://{labid}.vidmpreview.com
- Client ID: studentadmin
- Secret: Paste the Shared Secret that you copied from Omnissa Access.
- Click Test Connection. You should see a Test connection successful! message.
- Click SAVE.
You are redirected to the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub configuration page with the settings configured.
Task 2: Configure a Hub Services Setting
You configure custom notifications using Hub Services.
- On the Intelligent Hub Configurations page, scroll down and click Launch to open the Hub Services settings. NOTE: If you get HTTP Error page open a new tab and type https://{labid}.vidmpreview.com/hubconsole/admin-console
The Getting started with Hub Services page appears.
- Scroll down and click BEGIN.
- In the navigation pane on the left, select Notifications.
- Click Get Started and select NEW and select Create Notification
- Configure the Custom Notification Definition settings.
- Enter Techzone in the Name text box.
- Verify that Organization Group is selected in the Target Audience Type drop-down menu.
- For the Organization Group, type Student{labid} in the search box and select Student{labid} from search result.
- Under Priority, click Standard.
- Click Next.
- Configure the Content settings.
- Title box: Become familiar with Omnissa TechZone.
- Description box: Providing employees a link to Omnissa TechZone for all Workspace ONE learning needs.
- Action Button Text: Click Here.
- Action Button Behavior: Open In.
- Link box: https://techzone.omnissa.com
- Make Action Repeatable: Enabled.
- Click Next
- Enable Set Due Date and select a date that is 1 week from the current date. Leave the time as 00:00. Set the Expiration date to Same as Due date.
- Click Next, then click PUBLISH
Wait for the services to configure.

| The Status column on the Notifications page shows Error because no device has been enrolled yet. |
- In the navigation pane on the left, select App Catalog.
- Under Platforms, verify that the Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows toggles are turned on.
- To return to the Workspace ONE UEM console, click Log Out of Hub Services.
