Lab 6: Enrolling a device in Workspace ONE
Objectives and Tasks
- Download the Intelligent Hub to an iOS device.
- Enroll an iOS device in Workspace ONE UEM.
- Download the Intelligent Hub and enroll a macOS device (optional).
Task 1: Download the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub app to an iOS device
You download the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub app from the Appe App Store.
- Launch the Apple App Store.
- In the search bar, type Intelligent Hub. Press Search.
- In the search results, click the Get button to download the Intelligent Hub to the device.
- The Intelligent Hub app will begin downloading onto the device.
Task 2: Enroll an iOS device in Workspace ONE UEM
You enroll an iOS device into Workspace ONE UEM.
- Launch the Intelligent Hub app..
- When prompted, enter
omnissatraining.awmdm.comin the Server name text box. Click Next. - When prompted, enter
student{labid}in the Group ID text box. Click Next. - Enter
user{labid}in the username textbox andPa$$w0rdin the password textbox. Click Sign In. - Click Continue.
- Click Download Profile.
- If prompted to allow Hub to send notifications, click Allow.
- A pop-up will appear stating, "This website is trying to download a configuration profile. Do you want to allow this?" Click Allow.
- Click Close.
- On the Steps to download profile page, click Tap here when download finishes.
- Click Install profile.
- Click Open the Settings app to launch the Settings app and install the management profile.
- In Settings, select General and then VPN & Device Management.
- Look for a downloaded profile called, Workspace Services.
- Click Workspace Services and click Install.
- If prompted, enter the device passcode.
- You might receive two or more warnings that the profile is not signed. Click Install on each warning.
- A Remote Management pop-up will ask, "Do you trust this profile's source to enroll your device into remote management?" Click Trust.
- Click Done.
- Return to the Intelligent Hub app and click Take me to Hub. You may need to click through a few introduction screens. If you get prompted to create a passcode, create one and confirm it. If a Privacy window comes up, click I understand. If a Data Sharing window comes up, click I agree. You should now be in the Intelligent Hub app.
- In the Workspace ONE UEM console, click on Devices in the left-hand column and then Devices. You should see your device now enrolled.
Task 3: Download the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub and enroll a macOS device (optional)
Download the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub and enroll a macOS device.
- On your macOS device, open an Internet Browser (i.e. Safari, Google Chrome, etc.)
- Navigate to
https://www.getwsone.com. - When prompted for which version of Workspace ONE you use, select 2410 or higher.
- Click Download Hub.
- Once the download is complete, launch the WorkspaceOneIntelligentHub.pkg file.
- Follow the prompts to install Intelligent Hub.
- Once the installation completes, wait for the Intelligent Hub app to launch.
- When prompted, enter
omnissatraining.awmdm.comin the Email or Server Address text box. Click Next. - When prompted, enter
student{labid}in the Group ID text box. Click Next. - At the login screen, enter
user{labid}for the username, andPa$$w0rdas the password. - Click Sign In.
- The Workspace Services screen will appear. Click Next.
- You will be prompted to review the newly downloaded profile. Click Ok.
- The Systems Settings app will launch. Double-click on the Workplace Services profile.
- When prompted with "Are you sure you want to install this profile," click Install.
- Click Install.
- You will need to enter your account password. This is the local account on your device. Click Enroll.
- When the enrollment process completes, click Done.
