The Account Settings dialog box appears. You use the Account Settings dialog box to configure account details, set notifications, view login history, and change security settings.
- To exit the Account Settings dialog box, click Cancel.
- From the menu bar, click the help (?) drop-down menu and select Open Help Page.
The Omnissa Workspace ONE UEM Documentation web page opens in a new browser tab.
You can use this online resource portal to browse and search available guides and feature documentation.
- Click x to close the Workspace ONE UEM Documentation browser tab and return to the Workspace ONE UEM console.
- From the help (?) drop-down menu, select Add Temporary Admin. The Add/Edit Temporary Admin dialog box appears.
With this control, you can create a basic administrator account that you can use for troubleshooting. This account becomes inactive after a set time range, from six hours to one week.
- To close the Add/Edit Temporary Admin dialog box, click Cancel or x.
Task 2: Review the Workspace ONE UEM Monitor Page
You review critical management information so that you can quickly identify problems and resolve them from a single location in the console.
- In the navigation pane on the left, select Monitor > Overview.
- To change the default view from Chart View to Tabular View, click the bulleted-list icon in the top right of the page.
- To change from the Tabular View back to the Chart View, click the pie-chart icon, in the top right of the page.
- Scroll down and review the information gathered for Devices, Compliance, Profiles, Apps, Content, Email, and Certificates.
Task 3: Review the Core System Settings
You review the core system settings in the Workspace ONE UEM console.
- In the navigation pane on the left, select Groups & Settings > All Settings > System.
- Review the core system settings in the System submenu.
- Select System > Getting Started.
You use the Getting Started page to define what sections are available in the Getting Started wizard.
- Select System > Enterprise Integration.
The Enterprise Integration page facilitates Workspace ONE UEM integration with existing enterprise infrastructures, such as email SMTP, directory services, and certificate authority (CA).
- Select System > Security > Restricted Actions.
Under Restricted Actions, you can enable or disable verification checks when certain management actions are performed in the Workspace ONE UEM console. When an administrator performs one of the enabled actions, the console challenges the administrator to confirm the desired action with the administrator's self-created security PIN. You can also set whether notes are required for auditing purposes.
Task 4: Customize Workspace ONE UEM Console Branding
You configure settings related to the branding of the Workspace ONE UEM console. You can change the branding to reflect company colors.
- In the navigation pane of the Settings dialog box, select Groups & Settings > All Settings > System > Branding.
- Current Setting is set to Inherit.
- Child Permission is set to Inherit or Override.
As a Workspace ONE UEM administrator, you can configure which items other administrators can access and whether they can change color values.
- Next to Current Setting, click Override.
- Modify the colors assigned to the interface.
All Workspace ONE UEM websites are branded with color assignments, including the Workspace ONE UEM console and the Workspace ONE UEM Self-Service Portal (SSP).
Selecting contrasting values for the text and background colors is a best practice, as the text can become difficult to read if you select similar colors for both.
The Custom CSS page can be used to insert a cascading style sheet (CSS) of your own custom design that overrides the console defaults.
- Click Save.
- Click x in the upper-right corner to close the Settings dialog box.
