Task 1: Connect to a Desktop via HTML

In this task, you will attempt to connect to a desktop via HTML.

  1. Login to ControlCenter (Landing Desktop)
    • Username:administrator
    • password:Pa$$w0rd
  2. On the ControlCenter desktop, open the Firefox Browser.
  3. Open a new browser tab and enter the following address:
  4. Enter the following credentials:
    • User name: Kevin
    • Password: Pa$$w0rd
  5. Select Login.

Note: You will get a message back stating that the user is not entitled to use the system.

Task 2: Gather HAR Log File

In this task, you gather the HAR log file.

  1. From the same browser connection already opened, right-click anywhere on the page and select Inspect (Q).
  2. Select the Network tab.
  3. Click Reload from the center pane.
    • The recording will only autostart once you start performing actions in the browser.
    • You will notice that activity is being captured in the Network Tab
  4. Try to login with the Kevin user once more. This will ensure that the issue is captured and that the recording was initiated.
  5. Once you see the message saying that the user is not entitled once more you can gather the HAR log file.
    • Note: It's important to reproduce the issue so that it is captured in the recording.
  6. Right-click anywhere in the File Section of the Network tab and select Save All As HAR.
  7. Change the location to the desktop and select Save.
  8. Close the open Firefox browser.
  9. Navigate to the Desktop as the file location.
  10. Once saved, the HAR file can be viewed using Notepad++.
