Lab 1: Summary of the Lab Environment
Objective and Tasks
Preview the lab environment:
- Log In to the Training Servers
- Log In to the Omnissa Access Administration Console
- Log In to the Workspace ONE UEM Administration Console
- Log In to the Unified Access Gateway Administration Console
Task 1: Log into the training servers
You become familiar with the lab VMs by accessing the uem-01a, WS1-Connector, ControlCenter, w11Client-01a and w11Client-02a VMs.
- From the lab environment interface, there is a dropdown at the top-left of the screen. Make sure that uem-01a.techseals.co is selected.
- Log in to the uem-01a.techseals.co VM (virtual machine) by going to the top-left of the screen where you will see an icon of a keyboard. Click on the keyboard icon, and a dropdown will appear, showing an option, “Ctrl+Alt+Delete”. Click on Ctrl+Alt+Delete and now you can type the password, which is “Pa$$w0rd” (Alternatively, make sure that your cursor is in the Password box, then from the right-hand side of the screen, next to VM Admin Password, you can click on the box that says, “Pa$$w0rd”. This will automatically type in the password, so you don’t have to.)
- Username: techseals\administrator
- Password: Pa$$w0rd
- Connect to the remaining VMs (virtual machines) used in this class by clicking on the dropdown at the top-left of the screen. If you are prompted to log in when connecting to a VM, enter the administrator credentials.
- Username: techseals\administrator
- Password: Pa$$w0rd
- The following machines will be used for this class:
- ControlCenter: Domain controller server
- uem-01a: Windows server that contains all Workspace ONE UEM infrastructure
- WS1-Connector: Windows server that contains AirWatch Cloud Connector (ACC)
- w11Client-01a: Pre-enrolled and encrypted Windows 11 VM, which needs to be started first before use
- w11Client-01a: Boot Bitlocker Password: Pa$$w0rd
- w11Client-02a: Pre-enrolled Windows 11 VM
Task 2: Log into the Omnissa Access administration console
You become familiar with logging into the Omnissa Access administration console.
- From the dropdown at the top-left of the screen, select uem-01a. If prompted, log in to the uem-01a VM console.
- Username: techseals\administrator
- Password: Pa$$w0rd
- Open the Omnissa Access administration console.
- On the uem-01a Windows taskbar, click the Google Chrome icon.
- From the bookmarks bar, select Access.
You can also enter https://login.techseals.co in the address bar. - Log into Omnissa Access. Note:
• Domain: System Domain
• Username: admin
• Password: Omnissa123!
NOTE 1: The Omnissa Access service starts with the lab and takes 10 minutes to initialize fully. You will see your Access URL, Access Admin Username, and Access Admin Password on the far right-hand side of the screen. You can either type the info yourself, or click the box next to the labels to have it filled in automatically wherever your cursor is positioned.
NOTE 2: If the Omnissa Access User portal appears instead of the administration console, click the LA (Local Admin) icon in the top-right of the page and select Access Console from the drop-down menu. - You can leave the window open for the next task.
Task 3: Log into the Workspace ONE UEM administration console
You become familiar with logging into the Workspace ONE UEM administration console.
- From the uem-01a VM, open the Workspace ONE UEM administration console.
- Open a new tab in the Chrome browser. Otherwise, if Chrome isn’t open yet, click the Google Chrome icon on the taskbar.
- Select UEM from the bookmarks bar.
You can also enter https://wsone.techseals.co/AirWatch in the address bar. - Log in to Workspace ONE UEM.
- Username: Admin
- Password: Pa$$w0rd
NOTE: You will see your UEM URL, UEM Admin Username, and UEM Admin Password on the far right-hand side of the screen. You can either type the info yourself, or click the box next to the labels to have it filled in automatically wherever your cursor is positioned.
- You can leave the window open for the next task.
Task 4: Log In to the Unified Access Gateway Administration Console
You become familiar with how to log in to the Unified Access Gateway console.
- From the uem-01a VM, open the Unified Access Gateway administration console.
- Open a new tab in the Chrome browser. Otherwise, if Chrome isn’t open yet, click the Google Chrome icon on the taskbar.
- Click UAG Admin Console on the bookmarks bar. You can also enter https://uag.techseals.co:9443/admin in the address bar.
- Log in to Unified Access Gateway.
- Username: admin
- Password: Pa$$w0rdPa$$w0rd
NOTE: You will see your UAG URL, UAG Admin Username, and UAG Admin Password on the far right-hand side of the screen. You can either type the info yourself, or click the box next to the labels to have it filled in automatically wherever your cursor is positioned.
- Close Google Chrome.
