The diagram below shows you the SaaS services and On-Premises virtual machines you will be interacting with in the labs.
Objective and Tasks
Review and become familiar with the lab environment:
1. Verify the Availability of Tools
2. Log In to the Training Servers
3. Log In to the Workspace ONE UEM Console
4. Log In to the Omnissa Access Console
Task 1: Verify the Availability of Tools
You verify the availability of tools that you use in the lab environment.
- Ensure that the required tools are ready and available.
- Computer: You must use a PC or Mac that gives you access to the Workspace ONE UEM training environment.
- Endpoints: Windows 11 and Linux VMs are provided for you in this course.
- Browser: You must use a modern browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge, to access the lab environment. In the lab environment, you must only use the installed Google Chrome browser to complete the lab activities.
Task 2: Log In to the Training Servers
You familiarize with the location of the lab Virtual Machines (VMs).
- When connected to your lab environment, you will be brought to a screen from the ControlCenter VM, where you can log in.
- In the top-left corner of the screen, click on the keyboard icon.
- Select the “Ctrl+Alt+Delete” option.
- This will bring up the password entry screen for TECHSEALS\Administrator.
- Password: Pa$$w0rd.
Note: Alternatively, on the right side of the screen next to “UEM Admin Password,” you can click the box labeled Pa$$w0rd. This will automatically enter the password for you, so you don’t need to type it manually. - There are VMs that will be used in upcoming Labs:
- WS1-Connector: Windows server to install the Omnissa Access connector and the server to install the AirWatch Cloud Connector
- W11Client-01a: Windows 11 VM for device enrollment
- W11Client-02a: Windows 11 VM for device enrollment
- Linux-01: Linux VM for device enrollment
- On the ControlCenter desktop, double-click the Remote Desktops folder. In the folder you will find Remote Desktop links to VMs running in your environment.
- In the Remote Desktop folder, double-click W11Client-01a.
- You will be connected to the W11Client-01a VM.
- Click x to close the Remote Desktop Connection window and click OK to the window that says, "Your remote session will be disconnected".
- Close the Remote Desktops folder.
Task 3: Log In to the Workspace ONE UEM Console
Open the Workspace ONE UEM administration console.
- On the ControlCenter desktop, open Google Chrome.
- From the bookmarks bar, click Workspace ONE UEM.
Note: Alternatively, you can enter https://techseals.awmdm.com/AirWatch in the address bar to access the console page. - Log in to Workspace ONE UEM Admin console with your unique credentials.
- Username: studentadmin{labid}
Note: You will see the username on the far right-hand side of the screen, in the box next to UEM Admin Username. You can type it in yourself, or click on the box, “StudentAdmin########”, to have it automatically type it in for you. The # signs represent your Lab ID. - Click Next.
- Password: Pa$$w0rd
- Click Log In
- Username: studentadmin{labid}
- Click "Never" if you get any pop-up windows, asking to "Save password?".
- Agree and accept the Omnissa General Terms.
- Set a Recovery Question and Answer, and set 1234 as your four digit pin.
- Click SAVE.
- Keep the Workspace ONE UEM console open for later labs.
Task 4: Log In to the Omnissa Access Console
You set a password and login for the Administrator in Omnissa Access.
- Open the Omnissa Access administration console.
- From the far right-hand side of your lab window, click on the blue button that says, "Reset Access Password URL" (As shown below).
- The "Access Password Reset URL:" box will be populated with text that looks similar to https://########.us0.wss.workspaceone.com/SAAS/... (As shown below). The # signs represent your Lab ID.
- From the Google Chrome window open a new tab.
- Once the new tab is opened, make sure your mouse cursor is placed into the Chrome browser’s URL.
- From the Instructions bar, on the far right-hand side of your lab window, click on the box that contains the https://########.us0.wss.workspaceone.com... and hit Enter on your keyboard. And wait for the change your password screen to appear.
- Set the Omnissa Admin password.
- New Password: Pa$$w0rd
- Confirm Password: Pa$$w0rd
- Click Change Password.
- Click Go to Sign in page.
- Log in with your Omnissa Access credentials:
- Username: admin
- Password: Pa$$w0rd
- Click Sign in.
- Click Accept at the Terms and Conditions window.
Your Access tenant URL will now show in the URL, as: https://########.us0.wss.workspaceone.com
Note: Make note of your Access tenant URL.
- You are logged in to the console as an Omnissa Access administrator.
- Keep the Omnissa Access console open for later labs.

| If you login to the Omnissa Access console and are directed to the user portal, you can access the administration console by clicking the TA (Tenant Admin) icon in the top-right corner of the page, and select Access Console from the drop-down menu. |
